A root canal is a restorative dental treatment that is used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or has become infected. A tooth’s nerve and pulp may become inflamed, irritated or infected due to deep decay, repeated dental procedures on a tooth or trauma to the mouth causing a tooth to chip and/or crack. During this procedure the tooth’s nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed.
Root canals are not painful procedures, however, infected teeth are very painful. A root canal will eliminate your pain and restore the health of your tooth.
To improve our patients’ experience, we offer Nitrous Oxide (relaxing gas) during root canal procedures.
When visiting Douglasville Dental Associates, patients enjoy our knowledgeable staff and our attention to detail. We offer the latest technology including Digital Radiography (X-rays) as well as patient comfort features like chair side computers and blankets.

"My visit on Wednesday July 16th was an emergency, yet very amazing. The gentleman at the front desk received me with open arms. After having X rays, I was welcomed by none other than the AWESOME Dr. Jon Lindsey. His immediate, warm and superior attitude caused me to decide right away "THIS IS THE DENTIST FOR ME.”
